About Kannapolis, NC

Located in North Carolina, Kannapolis is a town in Cabarrus county. As of 2019, the population of Kannapolis is 51,626, which is higher than other cities and towns in North Carolina. It is said that the word Kannapolis emanates from James William Cannon who bought large tracks of land to for Cannons Mills Company.
